Lulu at Three Months

Miss Lulu is an amazing three month old now.

She has a smile that lights up the room no matter what.

She is starting to discover her laugh...it's not fully there yet, but working on it.

She talks up a storm to everyone that will listen, and to many that don't listen.

She is very actively trying to sit up, stand, and roll from her belly to back.
(She almost does have the rolling down, she's about 3/4 of the way over and just can not seem to get that last little bit of it.)

Here Lulu is wearing a dress, from my childhood, to Church today.

(check out this drool action from the mouth to the thumb.)

Then, of course, we have the monthly purple daisy diaper shots

Lulu's Blanket

When my Mom came down when Lulu was born she taught me a new pattern for crocheting.

It's called corner to corner...here are some illustrated directions

Her is Lulu being a wonderful model showing off her blanket

I am now working on a blanket for Millikins; with yarn colors she picked out!

She so excited.

Our Little Waitress

Millikins has an urge to write these days.

She doesn't want to exactly learn her letter or numbers, although there is some interest on that front. Usually what she wants to write is an order for food. She'll walk up to you with her little magna doodle and ask you, "Is there anything else?"

We eat out some times, no where NEAR enough for her to have as her life ambition to be a waitress. Although, how often she has been playing this game makes me wonder if we aren't eating at home enough.

Maybe she has a life ambition to be a cook? Which would be a very strange twist of irony since Millikins doesn't eat practically ANYTHING!

Yesterday, I was able to sneak the camera out and catch her in the act of taking down my order for spaghetti with cheese on top.

She actually wasn't showing me my order here, she was trying to deflect the camera to a lamp that she pretends is either a waterfall or a shower-she wanted me to take pictures of the lamp instead of her. But, it looks like she's asking for my confirmation of my order so I had to include it, even though I just gave away what she's really doing. =)

Lulu's in a Hurry

Our little Lulu is in a hurry to grow.

at the end of February she was 13.8 pounds and 24.5 inches.

Both 99%.

Now, she has gotten to the point that she wants to sit and stand AT ALL TIMES.

She'll start yelling and crying if you don't hold her in a way that she can sit up. She'll even throw herself forward trying to sit up, we have to be very careful with her!

Today, since she was standing so well in my lap, I drug out the saucer to give it a try.

I know she's only 10 weeks, please don't lecture.

I had her propped up too, so her head did not flop anywhere.
(also, did I mention that she has AMAZING head control already?)

Here are some photos of her enjoying herself.

(Excuse some of the blur in the photos, we were playing with not using the flash on a cloudy kinda dark Seattle day. They happen a lot around here.)
